In Private Practice, Mary focuses on finding the root of whatever is presented and healing it across time. Sometimes physical or emotional symptoms are caused from something deeper; something that is not conscious. Whether the root is a suppressed emotion or trauma from childhood, exposure to a toxic chemical, or a belief pattern carried deeply in the soul, once that root is found, it can be healed.
All levels heal simultaneously when you work in this way, shortening the healing time measurably. Many times, chronic problems resolve completely through this work; other times healing of the issues occurs while a complete physical healing does not occur. Why is this?
Healing is not the same as a cure. Sometimes a healing occurs but an illness is not cured. The healer is not in control of this outcome. Illness may be the means through which a person is given the opportunity to heal very deep parts of themselves that cannot be healed any other way. The challenges that an illness presents more or less force a person to face things that they never would agree to if they felt in control. These challenges may come as the last opportunity in a lifetime to deal with specific issues before a person passes into another realm. It is an opportunity to finish their work here and leave this world in a completed state. In these instances, a cure does not occur, but the person completes what they came here to do and enters into a much higher state of consciousness at their death.
